Fallon's First Theater

The Fallon Theatre was not Fallon's first theater. Its original name, the New Rex Theatre, suggests as much. Naturally, there was an original Rex Theatre, but Fallon also hosted other venues including the Temple Theatre (near East Center Street), the Palace Theatre, and the Clark Pavillion

This photo (ca. 1910) may show the origins of the Fallon Theatre. The building is likely the Commercial Club, which housed a theater that went through multiple names, including Fitzgerald's Old Theatre, Fallon Picture Theatre, and the Moving Picture Theatre, before becoming the Rex.
