In 1950, Operation Haylift became a movie. The story focuses on Tom Masters (Tom Brown), an Air Force pilot who recently returned home to his brother’s (Bill Williams) ranch. At the climax, Tom flies a mission to bring food to his brother’s animals. Operation Haylift was described as a “modest B movie” but commemorated and memorialized Operation Haylift in film.
