Wildes School

The Wildes District built their first schoolhouse in 1909, "north of the drain ditch at the corner of wilds and pasture rd." In 1916 the Wildes District joined the Union District which was made up of the Smart and Wildes Districts. The three districts together called themselves Consolidated A. The first teacher in 1909 was May Swingle who previously taught at the school in Hazen.
